Relentless Beats and Aftershock cranked up Arizona’s dance music scene with Crankdat’s first headlining event at Rawhide Event Center before the next major heat wave. A night of tasty remixes and tastier lasers paired with ultra heavy body-shaking bass gifted Arizona a sweet sonic treat before the beginning of summer. This one-night only event was a gift of mindfulness for the mind, ears, body, and consciousness.
Experiencing Pure Awareness With Self-Blooming Affirmations During Zingara

Zingara’s meditative yet entrancing performance caused Arizona to observe their thoughts and emotions as they passed in each ethereal rhythmic beat. The side stage and DJ booth was full as sacred geometry visuals like the flower of life were displayed on the LED screens near the stage. She then asked the crowd to show her the weirdest dance move they had. It was a contemplative practice to be free and playful to dance however you desire without the fear of being perceived.
Zingara mixed “Mind & Body” and the sonic enlightenment continued as affirmations were layered on the track: “You’re worthy of good love. You just have to believe it.” These lyrics were the most penetrative affirmation of the night echoing in the subconscious. If you were like me on the dance floor, you could feel yourself bloom into the best parts of yourself in the name of self-love.
She mixed Rihanna’s “S&M” and her song with Jessica Chertock “Space Candy” as zodiac signs filled the screens next to the stage. A red balloon passed around in VIP before Zingara’s performance ended and she asked Arizona to scream aloud their spirit animals. She then asked someone from the side stage for their spirit animal and the attendee replied “narwhal” and took a family picture with the crowd.
CrankDaddy’s Irresistible Re-Cranks and Remixes

The man. The legend. The remix machine and remixes better known as “re-cranks”. Crankdat’s first remix of the night was Sexyy Red’s “SkeeYee” before transitioning into “Kiss Me Thru the Phone” by Soulja Boy that caught the crowd completely by surprise. CrankDaddy asked the crowd to jump as high as they could to match his high-energy signature music.
Visuals of ocean blue water flooded the LED walls next to the stage when Crankdat transitioned to his remix of “Free Bird” by Lynyrd Skynyrd before showing crowds his new remix of Subtronics’ “Eyes Cut Deeper” he calls, “Eyes Crank Deeper”.
This set couldn't get any better for fans. Next, he added remixed favorites loved by the rave girlies such as Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl” and Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance” that sounded like post-EDM. My personal favorite remix that made me feel hyperfeminine and magnetic in the skin of my soul was “Fantasize (Crankdat Remix)”.
The performance euphorically shook ravers’ equilibrium and almost broke the speakers for bassheads to rejoice in dance from start to finish.
A Sea of Light-Beaming Lasers Beyond the Crankdeck

The night began with plenty of visuals during supporting acts such as Zen Selekta and Casey Club, but lasers were nowhere to be seen. The side stage directly next to Crankdat was named by Relentless Beats as “the crankdeck”. As Crankdat introduced his first track of the night, “Movement” and the bass drop hit the speakers, you could hear the entire crowd gasp a “woah” as thick, vibrant lasers reached every corner of the crowd.
If you were standing in VIP, the lasers were close to the top of your head and if you looked up, you felt like you were showering in the full spectrum of the color wheel. Every stroke of color enhanced sounds and inspired dance movements to correspond to each laser.
Cranking it Up With Deep Body-Vibrating Bass in VIP

During some parts of Crankdat’s thrashing performance, the bass traveled from the speakers, into the crowd, through your whole body, and in the earth beneath your feet! You could feel the music vibrate your entire body which made an electrifying, cerebral mind-body experience!
Some ravers like to hug the speakers and that feeling was accomplished without speaker-hugging. You could feel every beat, tempo, and bass drop which made Crankdat feel like a symphony conductor for the entire night. Crankdat’s “Candy Shop Remix ft. Olivia” was surreal to witness live!
Scorching New Track IDs and a Surprise B2B With Kompany

This night went above and beyond with not only hot remixes, but hotter new and unreleased music, too. Zingara featured a new unnamed track with Steller. Later, Crankdat played a new track with Kai Wachii before transforming into Wankdat (his moniker when performing B2B with Wooli) featuring a new track with Wooli. He said Wooli doesn’t think this new song “goes hard” but he thinks he does. Both Crankdat and the crowd knew the song went hard and he said, “Fuck you, Adam” into the mic after the song ended.
From Wankdat, he transformed into Crankity Bat (his alias when performing with Levity or Alleycvt) and presented a new track with Alleycvt. Suddenly, Kompany joined him behind the booth for a surprise KomDat (Kompany + Crankdat) B2B to share new music together before the night ended. The last unreleased track of the night was a remix of “Party Like a Rockstar” with Kaskade.
