Whether you've heard of her or not, at least one thing you've seen in the festival scene has been inspired by her. Known as @sunflowerraver, Hera is in her own lane as one of the most well-known, influential, and unique content creators within the dance music scene. Her award-worthy outfit styling, unhinged dancefloor content, and open-hearted vulnerability online have garnered her a notable following across most platforms. She inspires ravers from all walks of life to stay true to themselves, dress like their dream avatar, and take time to be absolutely feral in the pit now and then. This is just the beginning for Sunflower Raver and her impact, and we're so here for it.

A longtime iHeartRaves girlie, Hera is gearing up to launch her third collaboration with us: the Get Bent collection. The message behind the collection is:

"a symbolic middle finger to anyone who’s ever done you wrong! a reminder that you deserve confidence, freedom, and self-love while embracing your sensitivity, your strength, and your power to stand up for yourself and those you love. I hope you love this collection as much as I do!"

We sat down with Sunflower Raver for 20 Questions. Read along to get to know the icon that she is, and shop her latest collaboration now!

1.) Fave song atm

Crocodile by Goth Babe, it came up on one of my Spotify suggested songs a minute ago, and I haven’t been able to stop listening to it. It reminds me of easier times but still makes me happy to be here currently. It’s a really beautiful song.

If I’m feeling like a crackhead I will play this though

2.) Go-to festival food vendor

Hibachi will always have my heart it is a safe food for me but if I forget dairy pills it is an instant regret. I’ll still eat it. My stomach will hate me though.

3.) dubstep or hardstyle

This is a silly question.

AR Gang FOREVER

(Hardstyle)

4.) in the pit or back of the crowd

The back of the crowd is always superior. I love a good mosh pit. I was just in one for Bass Canyon. But I get worried about taking another bump to my noggin nowadays.

5.) favorite look you've ever done for a show or festival

That lightning in a bottle outfit, I wore with the little black skirt and all of the chains. That will always be a superior outfit. I need to re-create it in white as I just picked up a white skirt from LIB this year. But I wanna do white and gold instead this time around! Even with all of the chains, it was one of the most comfortable outfits. I think I’ve ever worn.

6.) favorite festival right now

It always and forever will be Shambhala. That festival is home and I hope everybody can understand what it is like to really enjoy that event one day. It is so beautiful. Nothing will ever be waking up and dunking yourself in the river when you’re surrounded by friends on watching people in hundreds of pizza inflatables pass by blasting music that you don’t know.

7.) weirdest festival encounter.

This is more so an encounter that people had of me, but didn’t realize it was me. My first year of lost lands I had one bite of a corn which, which is basically two pieces of cornbread and a bunch of cheese in between. I didn’t take any dairy pills before hand and locked myself in the bathroom for close to two hours. Every single person that walked in that bathroom gagged and left. It was awful. I remember right after I had that experience I was able to meet LeBlunt, and I gave her the full rundown. To everyone who came in that bathroom I’m so sorry. Something was dying in there and it was my stomach.

8.) ultimate styling tip for raves and festivals

Your necklace should match your belt, your belt should match your garters. Bag chains are a great thing to start collecting as they have clips on both ends that you can use to put on any kind of outfit. Please wear two pairs of socks. Also, your shoes are free real estate. Start doing something to them. (I need to do this, but whenever I see other girls doing this, I’m always like damn she’s so smart)

9.) top 3 items in your hydropack

I actually don’t carry a Hydro-Pack anymore LOL. I have a genuine hatred for Hydro packs. I don’t like them they ruin my outfit. I’m much happier carrying a water bottle around with me.

I do have my harness though, an inside of their I always have Narcan, Chapstick, and dairy pills. I’ve been carrying around eye drops as well as of lately, as I started wearing colored contacts for fun, and I gotta keep those babies moist.

10.) favorite furby!?

CHEESEY BROCCOLI!! (My black and red demon Furby)

11.) best advice you've received lately

Those who matter don’t mind, and those who mind don’t matter.

12.) fashion hack you live by

Pins with locking backs. You must. Get. A. Locking. Back. Outfit malfunction? Fixed. Need to take in a skirt or pants? Done. Need a chain to stay up? Easy. Amazon sells the locking backs for really cheap, and it allows you to use all of those cool pins that you collect at festivals in your outfits or in your every day wear!

13.) favorite item in your new collab

THE BLOOMERSS OH MY GOD. I have been wearing them around my house literally everyday I love them.

14.) camping or glamping

Hotel.

15.) one festival set you wish you could relive

Louis the Child on the hill at Paradiso 2019. To experience that site with Marc one more time would be everything. If you scroll all the way to the bottom of my profile on Instagram, you’ll see a little dump I made of that event, and you’ll see this video I captured where lightning is striking in the background while they are playing. It was ethereal.

16.) sunset or sunrise set?

Sunrise always has more crazy people (my type)

17.) next project you want to work on in life

I do really want to start another apparel company. I absolutely love designing and creating things, but I want to start making more one-of-a-kind pieces. I’ve been really inspired lately by streetwear and 80s rave fashion! This probably won’t happen for a while, but I have all the time in the world to plan.

18.) fave iHR moment!!!

When we did the big content creator house for beyond Wonderland. We went to go pick up our bands from the hotel together, and I was on the verge of a panic attack because of some reasons that I won’t get into, and I had to go sit in the bus. And every single person in that group made sure that I was OK and took care of me. And I really needed that community and that love from every person there at that moment. And it reminded me of how special it was to still be here and in the scene. At that point, I was sober to it. It made me feel a lot more confident to take on a festival sober because I was surrounded by such supportive people who genuinely cared about me. It made the weekend a lot easier to get through.

19.) fave thing about yourself

How much I yap. And I will never stop yapping!!! I could lose my voice after a festival weekend and I’ll STILL BE YAPPING.

20.) fave thing about festivals :)

The crowd is really my favorite part. It’s part of the reason why I do enjoy photography so much so that I can capture these people. They truly are the essence of the scene. You will never find somebody that loves the festival scene or the RAVE scene more than someone who is deep in a crowd ready to take care of you at a moments notice. They’ve usually been to that event every single time it’s happened. The community is the background of the scene and I don’t think they really get enough credit.

We are really lucky in this day and age to have such a compassionate group of people that are here for the music and are here to protect others. I’m not saying that there aren’t bad people within a crowd, of course, but overwhelmingly their are good people and I think that’s why everyone keeps coming back to these events. The connections that you make are irreplaceable.
