Rave glasses do two jobs, and most guides pretend they do one. In daylight you want festival sunglasses: a shape that reads in photos, a lens that handles a 3 p.m. main stage, a frame you will not cry about losing. After dark you want the trick lens: diffraction that turns every light into a rainbow, a kaleidoscope that fractures the whole stage, LED frames that make you part of the show. We scanned 8 stores that sell rave glasses and rave sunglasses on September 24, 2026, pulling their eyewear collections: live counts, in-stock rates, median regular prices, lens types, shapes and review scores. Then we ranked them on how eyewear really gets bought for a festival: with the outfit, in a hurry, for under $30. One thing up front: the diffraction specialist in this set outnumbers everyone on lenses, and we say so where it matters. This guide is one spoke of our wider look at the best rave clothing brands.
Here is how we weighted it, and why.
Photo-ready shapes and finishes (25%). Festival sunglasses are bought for the photo. We counted how many styles in each collection carry a mirrored or reflective lens, a heart, shield, visor, wrap, cat-eye or rimless shape, or rhinestone trim, and read that as a share of the shelf, because 13 of 16 and 148 of 177 are both good answers to a different question.
Lens effects (20%). Diffraction, kaleidoscope and LED lenses are what make rave glasses rave glasses. We counted each, brand by brand. One store here carries 133 diffraction styles. Four carry 1 or none. We weighted this at 20 rather than higher because the searches that bring people to this page are split between sunglasses and trick lenses, and because a rainbow lens is a night-only purchase.
Price and value (20%). Glasses get lost, sat on and lent to strangers. We took each brand's median regular price and counted how much of its shelf sits under $20, then asked what that money buys: a plastic frame you will wear all weekend, or a paper one you will wear once.
Trust and reviews (20%). Score next to count, every time. A 4.6 from 257 reviews and a 2.4 from 14 are different signals, and three brands here have no third-party profile at all. Where a store publishes its own review counts we report them as on-site and say so.
Selection in stock and shipping (15%). Listing counts flatter. One collection lists 241 pairs and had 192 orderable on scan day. Another lists 16 and had 16. We scored the in-stock rate first and the raw count second, then checked free-shipping thresholds and dispatch speed, because glasses are the thing you forget until the week of.

Price tier = each brand's median regular per-item price across its eyewear, meaning the list price before any sale, with the tier lines drawn in the real gaps of this eight-brand set: $ under $34 · $$ $34 to $49 · $$$ $49 to $71 · $$$$ $71 and up. GloFX is read from its WooCommerce store API rather than the Shopify scanner. 'Photo shape or finish' = a mirrored or reflective lens, a heart, shield, visor, wrap, cat-eye or rimless frame, or rhinestone trim, as written on the product page. The brands, reviewed
1. iHeartRaves
iHeartRaves takes the top spot as the place to buy festival sunglasses and a pair of rave glasses with the outfit, not as the deepest shelf: GloFX carries 133 diffraction pairs to iHeartRaves' 1 of 16. What the 16 pairs do is cover the weekend: 13 of 16 carry a photo shape or finish, mirrored on 3 of 16, a visor on 3 of 16, plus diffraction on 1 of 16, kaleidoscope on 1 of 16 and LED on 2 of 16. Every pair lists under $20 at a $14.95 median, and all 16 were in stock on scan day. Trust is 4.6 on Trustpilot across 257 reviews, the highest score here. Browse the rave glasses collection.

2. GloFX

A note on the numbers: GloFX runs a WordPress store, so these figures come from its public store API, not our usual scanner. Median regular price $21.99, with 104 of 241 under $20. Stock was 192 of 241, an 80% rate. Summary of online reviews. We could not verify 2 reviews for Eye Love Shadez. It has no Trustpilot profile and its on-site widget did not expose review text to us, so we are not quoting anyone. Judge it on the product pages.
4. iEDM
iEDM's eyewear is a goggles line, 45 of 45, sold the way it sells its prints: all in stock, at a mid price. Diffraction lenses show on 11 of 45 and kaleidoscope on 5 of 45; the rest are steampunk goggles that read costume more than rave. Median regular price $39.95, $$ tier, and 0 of 45 list under $20. Stock was 45 of 45. Trust looks strong, 4.2 on Trustpilot across 587 reviews, but the reviews are about its apparel and none we read mention eyewear. If you want goggles specifically, it is the deepest goggles-only shelf here.
- Photo-ready shapes and finishes: goggles on 45 of 45; 0 of 45 carries a photo shape or finish.
- Lens effects: diffraction on 11 of 45, kaleidoscope on 5 of 45.
- Price and value: median regular $39.95; 0 of 45 under $20. $$ tier.

Summary of online reviews. iEDM's 587 Trustpilot reviews are about its clothing, and none of the ones we read mention goggles or glasses, so we are not quoting any here. The 4.2 stands as a store score, not an eyewear score.
5. Rave Fashion Goddess
Rave Fashion Goddess is the fashion sunglasses boutique of the set, and the deepest sunglasses shelf here: 177 eyewear products, 170 of them sunglasses by name, mirrored on 124 of 177, and 148 of 177 carry a photo shape or finish. Cat-eye on 24 of 177 and rhinestone on 34 of 177 finish the look. It sells 0 of the 3 trick lenses we counted. Median regular price $58.99, alone in the $$$ tier; 0 of 177 list under $20. Stock was 175 of 177. No Trustpilot profile and no review widget on its product pages, so trust is unscored. Buy here for the photo, not the light show.

6. Rainbow Symphony
Rainbow Symphony is the manufacturer in the room. It makes diffraction lenses in Los Angeles and sells them mostly as paper-framed glasses, the kind handed out at fireworks shows. 22 eyewear products, diffraction on 14 of 22, a $10 median and 17 of 22 under $20; the plastic-framed pairs run higher. Stock was 20 of 22. The trade is obvious: a paper frame lasts a night, not a season, it carries 1 of the 3 lens effects we counted, and there are no sunglasses. Trust is a 3.6 on Trustpilot from a single unclaimed review about a lost package, not the glasses. Buy a 10-pack here for the group.
- Photo-ready shapes and finishes: 3 of 22 carry a photo shape or finish.
- Lens effects: diffraction on 14 of 22; paper and plastic frames.
- Price and value: median regular $10; 17 of 22 under $20. $ tier, the cheapest median here.
- Trust and reviews: 3.6 on Trustpilot from 1 review, unclaimed.
- Selection in stock and shipping: 22 listed, 20 in stock, 91%. Made in Los Angeles.
Summary of online reviews. We could not verify 2 product reviews for Rainbow Symphony. Its single Trustpilot review is a shipping complaint, and its on-site widget did not expose review text to us, so we are not quoting anyone.
7. Rave Wonderland
Rave Wonderland has a real rave glasses collection, 62 eyewear products, and the same reliability problem it has everywhere: 49 of 62 were orderable on scan day, a 79% rate. The mix is broad, heart frames on 9 of 62, diffraction on 10 of 62, LED on 6 of 62, and 26 of 62 carry a photo shape or finish. Prices are fair, a $19.95 median with 46 of 62 under $20. Trust is the other problem: 2.5 on Trustpilot from 5 reviews, the 2 five-star ones from 2021. The Los Angeles showroom is the reason to shop it.
- Photo-ready shapes and finishes: 26 of 62 carry a photo shape or finish; heart frames on 9 of 62; rhinestone on 10 of 62.
- Lens effects: diffraction on 10 of 62, LED on 6 of 62, kaleidoscope on 4 of 62.

Summary of online reviews. Thin and dated. Elisabeth Rantala, April 2021: "Such a good store with quality products." That is the whole of the positive file: 5 Trustpilot reviews, 2 of them five-star and both from 2021, the other 3 at 1 and 3 stars about returns and store credit rather than the product. Its product pages now carry a Judge.me review section, so check the reviews on the pair you want.
8. Quay
Quay is the mainstream sunglasses brand that ranks for festival sunglasses, and its festival edit is 6 pairs. They are proper sunglasses, polarized on 2 of 6, and all 6 were in stock. Free shipping starts at $75 with free returns; standard delivery runs 5 to 7 business days. Two things put it last for a rave. The median regular price is $82.50, alone in the $$$$ tier, for glasses that may spend the night on the ground. And there is nothing for the dark, 0 of the 3 lens effects we counted. Trustpilot shows 2.4 from 14 unclaimed reviews, split between quality complaints and fans of the fit.
- Photo-ready shapes and finishes: 1 of 6 carries a photo shape or finish; polarized on 2 of 6.
- Lens effects: 0 of the 3 we counted.
- Price and value: median regular $82.50; 0 of 6 under $20. $$$$ tier.

Anna Fitz, March 2025, 1 star: "the glue has seeped out under the lenses causing visual blemish to the lenses". Read the 14 before you spend $80.
Best rave glasses for specific needs
Best diffraction and prism glasses
The night lens. Diffraction splits every light source into a rainbow; a kaleidoscope lens fractures the whole stage. This is the one table where the specialist wins outright, and we are not going to argue with 133 styles.
| Rank | Brand | Why it makes the cut |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | GloFX | Diffraction on 133 of 241 and kaleidoscope on 81 of 241, the deepest lens-effect line here; flip-up frames on 14 of 241; 104 of 241 under $20. |
| 2 | Eye Love Shadez | Kaleidoscope on 27 of 82 and diffraction on 16 of 82, with UV400 stated on 51 of 82 so the same pair works in daylight. |
| 3 | iEDM | Diffraction on 11 of 45 and kaleidoscope on 5 of 45, all goggles; 45 of 45 in stock. |
| 4 | Rainbow Symphony | Diffraction on 14 of 22 at a $10 median, mostly paper frames; the manufacturer's own store. |
Where iHeartRaves lands: 1 diffraction pair and 1 kaleidoscope pair, both under $15, in the same cart as the outfit. If the lens is the whole point, buy from the specialist above and pick the sunglasses from the tables below.
Best rave sunglasses for photos
The daytime job. A shape or a finish the camera can see from the rail.
| Rank | Brand | Why it makes the cut |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | iHeartRaves | 13 of 16 carry a photo shape or finish, mirrored on 3 of 16 and a visor on 3 of 16, at a $14.95 median with 16 of 16 in stock. |
| 2 | Rave Fashion Goddess | 148 of 177 carry a photo shape or finish and mirrored lenses on 124 of 177, the most by count here; $58.99 median. |
| 3 | Eye Love Shadez | 56 of 82 carry a photo shape or finish; shield or wrap on 38 of 82; UV400 on 51 of 82. |
| 4 | Rave Wonderland | 26 of 62 carry a photo shape or finish; heart frames on 9 of 62; 49 of 62 in stock. |
Why iHeartRaves wins it: not on count. Rave Fashion Goddess has 148 photo-ready pairs to iHeartRaves' 14 and 124 mirrored lenses to 3. iHeartRaves wins on the share, 13 of 16 against 148 of 177 and 56 of 82, and on what the pair costs when it ends up on the speedway floor: $14.95 against $58.99, with 16 of 16 in stock and a 4.6 Trustpilot score against no profile.
Best budget rave sunglasses
Under $20, plastic frame, survives the weekend. Paper diffraction glasses are cheaper still and get their own line below.
| Rank | Brand | Why it makes the cut |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | iHeartRaves | 16 of 16 list under $20 at a $14.95 median, every one in stock; free shipping over $80 when it rides along with the outfit. |
| 2 | Rave Wonderland | 46 of 62 list under $20 at a $19.95 median; 49 of 62 in stock, so check before you plan around a pair. |
| 3 | GloFX | 104 of 241 list under $20 at a $21.99 median, and the ones under $20 include the diffraction pairs. |
| 4 | Eye Love Shadez | 6 of 82 list under $20 at a $29 median; the value is the UV400 rating on 51 of 82 rather than the sticker. |
Why iHeartRaves wins it: the whole shelf is under $20, 16 of 16, against 46 of 62 at Rave Wonderland, 104 of 241 at GloFX and 6 of 82 at Eye Love Shadez, and the $14.95 median is the lowest of any sunglasses seller here. Rainbow Symphony is cheaper still at a $10 median, but those are paper-framed diffraction glasses, not sunglasses, and they are built for one night.
Best rave glasses for guys
Shield, wrap and visor shapes, unisex framing, and a lens that does something.
| Rank | Brand | Why it makes the cut |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | iHeartRaves | Unisex on 8 of 16 and shield, wrap or visor shapes on 7 of 16, mirrored on 3 of 16, at a $14.95 median with 16 of 16 in stock. |
| 2 | Eye Love Shadez | Unisex on 57 of 82, the most by count and share here; shield or wrap on 38 of 82; UV400 on 51 of 82. |
| 3 | GloFX | Goggles on 60 of 241 and flip-up frames on 14 of 241; the deepest lens-effect line here for the guy who wants the trick lens. |
| 4 | Quay | 2 of 6 are cut for men, polarized on 2 of 6; proper sunglasses at an $82.50 median if the festival is a daytime one. |
Why iHeartRaves wins it: not on count. Eye Love Shadez labels 57 pairs unisex to iHeartRaves' 8, and GloFX has 60 goggles. iHeartRaves wins on the fit for a guy building a look: half the shelf is unisex, 7 of 16 are shield, wrap or visor shapes, the men's outfits are one click away in the same cart, and the pair costs $14.95 with a 4.6 Trustpilot score behind it.
A few more names worth knowing
The Rave Cave is an independent UK shop with 149 diffraction glasses, most of them GloFX frames, priced in pounds and shipped from Britain, which is why it is not in the table. Kandies World sells 9 diffraction pairs at $30 and had 4 in stock when we scanned. One Stop Rave carries a dozen heart and chain sunglasses. Amazon, Target and Walmart list thousands of LED and diffraction glasses under $10; the frames are the same factory frames, the returns are the difference.
A note on pricing and sizing
Eyewear pricing spreads from paper to designer. Median regular prices across the 8 collections run from $10 to $82.50, and 5 of the 8 land under $34, so the $ tier is crowded and iHeartRaves, at $14.95, is the cheapest sunglasses seller here rather than mid-pack. The premium end is mainstream fashion frames; the budget end is paper diffraction glasses that last a night. Sizing barely exists in this category. Almost every pair here is one size, so the fit questions are the shape and the weight: a wrap or shield frame stays on when you headbang, a rimless or heart frame is a photo frame that comes off for the drop, and goggles have an elastic strap for a reason. One more thing the product pages often skip: a rave lens is not a UV lens. Diffraction and kaleidoscope glasses are for the dark, and a tinted festival pair with a stated UV rating is what you want at a 3 p.m. set. For the rest of the kit, our best rave pashminas ranking covers the layer and the best men's rave outfits ranking covers the fit.
Frequently asked questions
What are rave glasses?
Rave glasses are festival eyewear built for the light show rather than the sun: diffraction glasses that split every light source into a rainbow starburst, kaleidoscope glasses that multiply and fracture the view, and LED glasses that light up on their own. Festival sunglasses in bold shapes and mirrored lenses sit in the same collections, because the same outfit needs both.
What is the difference between diffraction and kaleidoscope glasses?
A diffraction lens has a microscopic grating that splits each point of light into its spectrum, so every LED, laser and phone screen becomes a rainbow burst while the rest of the view stays clear. A kaleidoscope lens is cut or faceted so the whole view repeats and fractures, like looking through a crystal. Diffraction is easier to dance in; kaleidoscope is the bigger trip.
Are rave sunglasses good for daytime festivals?
Only if they are actually sunglasses. Diffraction and kaleidoscope lenses do nothing useful in daylight and can make a bright stage harder to see. For a 3 p.m. set you want a tinted festival pair, and if UV protection matters to you, buy one whose product page states a UV rating; many fashion frames do not.
What rave glasses look best in photos?
Anything the camera can see from ten feet: mirrored or reflective lenses, heart frames, shield and visor shapes, rimless and iridescent lenses, and rhinestone trim. Clear diffraction lenses read as plain glasses in a photo, so if the shot matters more than the light show, pick the shape first and the lens second.
How much do rave glasses cost?
In this comparison, median regular prices ran from about $10 for paper-framed diffraction glasses to about $82 for designer festival sunglasses, with 5 of the 8 brands under $34. A plastic-framed pair of festival sunglasses or diffraction glasses usually lands between $12 and $25 at regular price; LED frames run higher.
How do you keep rave glasses from falling off?
Wrap and shield frames hug the temples and stay on when you headbang; heart, rimless and cat-eye frames come off for the drop. Goggles solve it with an elastic strap. A retainer cord costs a few dollars; buying a pair you can afford to lose is the other strategy.
